Rescue: Sizi was discovered wondering alone near to the Sizi spring in the Beitbridge area, Southern Zimbabwe. She remained at this spring for about a week and her situation deteriorated rapidly, still being reliant on milk. She is thought to be an orphan to poaching that is happening in the area. After no elephants were seen in the area and she became very dehidrated ZEN intervened. Our team of vets, parks rangers flew down to Bulawayo where Sizi was treated for severe dehydration and flown back to the ZEN nursery at Wild is Life. She has made a very good recovery and is now drinking a healthy amount of specially formulated milk mixtrue and interacting very well with the other elephants.
