Wild Is Life is a continued work in progress. It is an ongoing evolution, happening with the passing of time and maturity of spirit. We have become a fusion of humanity and wildlife. We are not just a Wildlife Sanctuary … we are so much more! Our philosophy of one by one is reflected in the care and welfare of our animals, as well as the guests who choose to visit us! All are treated as individuals.

Wildlife Sanctuary

All the animals resident at The Sanctuary are rescues or have been subsequently born on the property.

Currently, the Wild is Life Sanctuary is home to a number of elephant, lion, cheetah, ground pangolin, kudu, giraffe, wildebeest, sable, impala, duiker, tortoise and monkeys. The population is dynamic and where possible, the sanctuary will release suitable animals back into larger habitats. Up until five years ago, the facility was not open to the public. However, due to considerable financial constraints and the need to “share” the sentience of these precious animals, the Sanctuary decided to open up to the public in a controlled and responsible manner.

Our exclusive afternoon tours are educational and aim to inspire a connection with the wild and natural world.

We operate as a not for profit organisation and all the monies received from guest visits are used for the rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife. We strictly limit the number of guests to our establishment, in order to protect the welfare of the animals in our care. Our exclusive afternoon tours are educational and aim to inspire a connection with the wild and natural world. The tours are undertaken with integrity and authenticity and are appreciated by our valued guests.

Wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Harare, whether as a tourist or expat, feeding giraffe, viewing animals at mealtime (elephants, lions and hyenas), plus viewing peacocks, kudu and sable antelope. The pièce de résistance was seeing a pangolin and watching it walk around as there are now so few in the world! Add to this, teatime treats plus bubbly and canapés as the sun sets after your tour, and you have a wonderful Zimbabwe excursion. Not to be missed!

A beautiful place close to Harare to see game really up close! The work they are doing to rescue animals and relocate them into the wild is exceptional, and gives visitors a chance to interact in a very special way. Organizing the afternoon with tea and cakes, then champagne and canapés is very civilized! Highly recommended!

Wild is Life is an oasis in Harare. From the warm welcome from Angela and Alex and to se all the good their team do for the animals. The atmosphere is magic, cakes are wonderful. I went there this week with SOS Children Villages and this was my forth visit at Wild is Life, and it is just getting better for each time.

Wow, what a fantastic place. A real treat for children and adults alike to get up close to some amazing animals. Very knowledgeable, helpful staff and the conservation work they do is wonderful. My 10 year old son loved it and was very keen that we should write a review here to tell everyone to go there!!

We spent the most amazing afternoon at Wild is Life. Feeding giraffes, watching ostrich, sable, lions and wildebeest.... and of course, a special mention to the elephants and Marimba the pangolin. The catering was delicious, and the ladies who gave the tour were knowledgeable and simply lovely. Highly recommended - our kids had an absolute ball.
